چکیده

To describe ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions we construct a three-fluid hydrodynamical model. In contrast to one-fluid hydrodynamics, it accounts for the finite stopping power of nuclear matter, i.e. for nonequilibrium effects in the early stage of the reaction. Within this model, we study baryon dynamics in the BNL-AGS energy range. For the system Au+Au we find that kinetic equilibrium between projectile and target nucleons is established only after a time t CM ≈ 5 fm/c ≃ 2RAu/γCM . Observables which are sensitive to the early stage of the collision (like e.g. nucleon flow) therefore differ considerably from those calculated in the one-fluid model.

Fluctuations driven isotropization of the quark-gluon plasma in heavy ion collisions

Averaged over ensemble of initial conditions kinetic transport equations of the weakly coupled systems of quarks and gluons are derived. These equations account for the correlators of fluctuations of particles and classical gluon fields. The isotropization of particle momenta by field fluctuations at the early pre-thermal stage of matter evolution in ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions is di...

Second-order dissipative fluid dynamics for ultrarelativistic nuclear collisions.

The Müller-Israel-Stewart second-order theory of relativistic imperfect fluids based on Grad's moment method is used to study the expansion of hot matter produced in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. The temperature evolution is investigated in the framework of the Bjorken boost-invariant scaling limit. The results of these second-order theories are compared to those of first-order theori...

Dissipation in the very early stage of the hydrodynamic evolution in relativistic heavy ion collisions

We propose a modification of the hydrodynamic model of the dynamics in ultrarelativistic nuclear collisions. A modification of the energymomentum tensor at the initial stage describes the lack of isotropization of the pressure. Subsequently, the pressure is relaxing towards the equilibrium isotropic form in the local comoving frame. Within the Bjorken scaling solution a bound is found on the de...

Anisotropic fluid dynamics in the early stage of relativistic heavy - ion collisions ⋆

A formalism for anisotropic fluid dynamics is proposed. It is designed to describe boost-invariant systems with anisotropic pressure. Such systems are expected to be produced at the early stages of relativistic heavy-ion collisions, when the timescales are too short to achieve equal thermalization of transverse and longitudinal degrees of freedom. The approach is based on the energy-momentum an...

Heavy quark production in strong non-Abelian field

In the framework of Wigner function formalism we investigated strange and charm quark-pair production in the early stage of heavy ion collisions. According to our model the particle production is initiated by an external time-dependent color field, that simulates an overlap of two colliding ions and color charge separation. The calculations were performed in an SU(2)-color model with finite cur...
